Time’s Passing

Time’s Passing

There’s no laughter torn from my lips,
nor spoken words of love or lust
for all I desire is out of hands reach;
no earthly thing I crave more than you.
Caught up in life’s folly and whirlwind ride,
nothing is hidden…yet nothing is known.
Long silence in this space without breath or pulse…
empty of me, as I am of you.
My one door has closed;
shall I not feel the rain again
nor see the sun chasing shadows?
I am faceless here… with no rise or set.
My lips swear hourly, passion lays speechless;
time is binding, time is passing.
I beseech you endlessly, here my call
before love glows less than a un-stirred ember.
